I have been posting about leadership and the problems at SIUC of late. Here is a really smart article from today's STL Post by Dale Dauten, the Corporate Curmudgeon on leadership.
He is writing about exactly what I have been writing about. Leadership is about asking the hard questions and inspiring the people who work for you to go do great things. It isn't about your success, it is about the organizations success. You become a star, because so many people who work for you become leaders, and the organization wins.
I know that people who have only worked at SIU have never seen it, but a great manager makes all the difference.
