Can't sleep, I'm traveling today. Call for new topics for the blog.

I'm off on a trip today and I can't sleep. It isn't unusually for me to be up this early, but it is pretty unusual that I don't get 6 or more hours of sleep. Maybe I can sleep on the plane?

Have a couple of good entries coming for you in the next few days, but I'm not quite ready to do them yet.

Anyone have anything good that needs to be covered?

Hey Peter, How about the difference between managing at your IPO'd company and boundless. I mean at your company out west you had (seemingly) endless talent at your fingertips and if someone screwed up in the AM, you could probably hire his replacement by the PM. Compare that with Boundless, where you are in a shallow talent pool that the good people dont really want to stick around. How are the management styles different?

Hi Stan -

Stan worked with us a and wouldn't take a full time job because he and his GF/wife(?) were moving back to Chicago after graduation.

You have to wonder what would happen if you had managed to hire people like Stan and keep them in town how your company would be different.

I'll think about this and write something up.

Thanks Stan.

I am always interested in your thoughts of Carbondale District 95....poverty rates, the lack of change in the school board, poor behavior management plans, etc.

Who is Steve Beck? What internal marketing message does bringing him to campus for 10 presentations over 5 days send to SIUC employees?
