How many days after the election until gas shoots up in price?

Just remember to refill those gas tanks before Tuesday. My bookie tells me that the over under bet on gas prices is $2.85 per gallon on January 1st. Looks like the mob thinks the gas companies are trying to save the Republican majority in Congress. :)

I'll say $4/gal before too long. Gas was $0.419/gal when I worked in a gas station in 1972. Sirloin steak and automobiles gave gone up by about 10x since. And the price of good sex is outrageous!

Good for her, or good for you?

I assume you are male because women never have to pay. One supply demand curve that results in no cost to the female half of the equation...

FYI:

In 2005,$0.50 from 1972 is worth:

$2.33 using the Consumer Price Index
$1.87 using the GDP deflator
$2.25 using the unskilled wage
$3.56 using the nominal GDP per capita
$5.03 using the relative share of GDP
